Charminar -
the icon of Hyderabad. Literally "Four minarets", this structure was
built at the very spot at which Quli Qutb Shah prayed for the end to the plague
epidemic. The towers rise to a height of 48.7 m above the ground. There is a
mosque with 45 prayer spaces located inside in the upper storeys. |

Medak
Church is 173 feet high. The length & width of the Cathedral is 200 ft
and 100 ft. The tiles used for building the Church were brought from Italy. The
roof of the church is sound proof & is constructed using sponge material. A
birth window depicts the birth scene of Jesus, angels, Prophet or Issaiah, Mary
and astrologers. To the left side the crucification scene is painted, in the
center the coming of Jesus is painted. The capacity of the church is 5000 people
at a time. |
