Day 1 Vizag arrival: Meet and greet by Concept Voyages'
representative and transfer to hotel. Full day Vizag sightseeing tour
covering Rushikonda Beach, Kailasagiri, Submarine Museum, VUDA Park and
Dolphin's Nose. Evening enjoy Rushikonda Beach. Return back to hotel for
overnight stay
Day 2 Vizag-Araku Valley excursion: After an early breakfast,
depart to Araku Valley full day tour. Araku Valley, 115-km from
Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh is close to the Orissa State,
border. This place lures people with pleasant weather, hills and valleys.
The natural beauty of this valley comes alive with its rich landscape. The
area of the valley is roughly 36-km and the altitude is between 600 and
900m above the sea level. The journey to this place on the Ghat road with
thick forests on either side is in itself interesting and pleasant. One
can have a wonderful trekking trip. 46 tunnels and bridges will greet you
on the way. The Ananthagiri hills on the way to Araku Valley are famous
for coffee plantations. Borra Caves located 29-km from Araku Valley, are
one of the famous nearby tourist attraction. Late evening return back to
hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 Vizag-Erramattidibbalu tour: After breakfast, depart to see
Erra Matti Dibbalu. Erra Matti Dibbalu, translated into Telugu means red
mud hillocks. These are the natural ravines, formed over the years due to
wind currents and soil erosion. Located at Bheemili, these hills are a
popular locale for film shootings. The dunes consist of sand, clay and
silt. Large bramble bush embedded in loose red soil, just off the
Vizag-Bheemili Road, conceal the Erra Matti Dibbalu from sight. Inward
lies, what MetroMela believes to be, Vizag’s hidden treasure and a
heritage site that most Vizagites are unaware of – an amazing and endless
row of breathtaking and towering red soil hills that sit amidst green
shrubs and play hide and seek with the cloud-speckled setting sun. Years
of weather-beaten handiwork and climatic changes have given Vizag a
natural wonder to behold – the Erra Matti Dibbalu, which resemble a
mini-Grand Canyon and are just about 28 kilometres away from Vizag city.
Erra Matti Dibbalu means Red Mud Hillocks in Telugu. Popularly known as
the Red Soil Hills, these natural ravines spread extensively in various
formations – some jagged, some deep, some maze-like and some creating
walls along trekking pathways – thanks to recurring wind currents and soil
erosion. Said to be over a million years old, they comprise sand, clay and
silt and are acknowledged as a rare geographic phenomenon. They are also
favourite location spots for film shootings and for tourists. While
returning visit Bheemili Beach. Return back to hotel for overnight stay
Day 4 Vizag departure: After breakfast, checkout and transfer to
Vizag airport for boarding flight home.
